This is a familiar sight to most people who know Fallbrook, and satisfied the structural and safety requirements for a functional barrier in an artistic fashion.
About the Artist: Peter Mitten has a long-standing interest in metal casting since receiving an MFA in sculpture in 1976. Bronze, granite, iron, concrete and aluminum are typical choices of materials for outdoor sites. Currently teaching at Mt. San Jacinto College art/design department, and producing public and private works for placement throughout the lower 48 states, he's regarded as a regional artist of some reputation.
