Fiber Art
Honoring the agricultural heritage of our community through a child’s eyes.
Artist: Karen Cunagin
Location: Fallbrook Library
I was inspired to use vibrant color and realistic texture in creating these whimsical, giant flora to animate our new library. The fruit concepts for this project were happily influenced by “Eating the Alphabet”, a board book by painter and collagist Lois Ehlert. Their resulting ripe bounty is meant to appeal to young and old alike.
About the Artist: Cunagin enjoys a national reputation as a textile artist with an award-winning body of work.
Donors: Made possible by the Friends of the Fallbrook Library
