Tukwut

Tukwut, is the Luiseño word for cougar or mountain lion.  The Luiseño Indians are a federally recognized tribe, located in northern San Diego County.

Location:  Palomares House Sculpture Garden, Fallbrook Land Conservancy – 1815 S. Stage Coach Lane

The first sculpture placement at the Palomares House Sculpture Garden pays tribute to our region’s mountain lion population.   

About the Artist:  Duncan lived in Port Angeles, Washington and created many bronze public monuments placed through the West and Northwest.
